It seems to be the fastest HONDA CUB ever – both Custombikes from Max C.M.C. SuperKabu, Japan, has a nice engine concept. One with 4cylinders and one with a 2-stroke twin. Funny, funny and real bad ‘n angry! See yourself and hear the incredible sound at these videos.

CY50 Short & Mixed

Thinking about the CB50 project I found this piece of creativity. Based at a CY50, the builder mixed a fuel tank from the Honda XR200, the front fork of the CL50, the back from the MD50, the lamp from an IPF Super-Off- Roader (!), the tail lamp is from the Kawasaki 250TR – engine etc. from the APE – the result looks more than a Monkey than a CY.

Biking & Surfin! Herz, was willst Du mehr? Mit dem Surfbretthalter an der HONDA CUB, dem Carrier Urban Bike, ist das überhaupt kein Problem. M&F Cuby baut Dir für 28.000 YEN so ein Teil an Dein Bike. Das Surfparadies in Deutschland wäre Sylt. Bleibt noch zu klären, wie man im Autoreisezug mit der HONDA CUB nach Westerland kommt? Und wenn nicht, baut man sich einfach einen CUB-Halter auf sein Surfbrett!

Bella Italia! Roberto ist ein Pinstriper aus Torino und zaubert seine Kunst seit 1991 auf Tanks, Fender, Helme und auch Gitarren. Sein Blog sollte man gesehen haben! Der pure 70er Jahre und End Sixties Style in quitsch-green, purple rain und metaphysics-gold, gepaart mit Oldschool-Techniken mit einer Mischung aus Mustern und Stripes.

Papercraft models

Wenn einmal so richtig die Tuner-Langeweile zuschlägt, ist genau die richtige Zeit für eine Bastelstunde. Kleine Modelle aus Papier, mit Liebe zum Detail entwickelt und als Schnittbogen zum Download. Natürlich war ich zuerst auf der Suche nach HONDA Modellen und bin hier fündig geworden.

Honda Motocompo

Im Maßstab 1/12 erwartet den Papierbastler ein recht anspruchvolles Modell. Die originale Motocompo übrigens erschien 1981 auf dem Markt und war der Scooter aus dem Kofferraum. Mit knapp 1,18 m Länge und 42 Kilo Gewicht ließ die Motocompo sich relativ leicht transportieren. Ob das Fahrzeug mit etwas über 50.000 produzierten Einheiten ein Erfolg war, steht auf einem anderen Blatt – innovativ war die Idee auf jedem Fall.

So detailgetreu sieht das Papiermodell aus dem Schnittbogen aus. In den Farben Rot, Gelb und Weiss hat sie der Designer Yasu Tanaka als Modell umgesetzt.

Noch mehr Honda

Mit ein wenig Suche nach weiteren Papiermodellen wird man recht schnell im Internet fündig. Leider findet man bei Honda nur eine Sammlung von Szenen, bei denen die Autosparte eine Rolle spielt. Auf jeden Fall die humorvollen kleinen Szenen ansehen – zur Übersicht hier klicken! Für den schnellen Klebespass gibt es eine CB750. Vier Teile zum Ausschneiden und zusammenkleben – das ist zu schaffen!

Die YAMAHA Bikes als Realistic Paper Craft

Für die Fans von Rossi gibt es die YZR-M1 von 2004 in den originalen Farben zum Nachbauen. Zum Download, bitte folgen.

Leider muss man neidlos zugeben, dass YAMAHA hier den Motorrad-Freund eindeutig besser als Honda bedient. Ohne Motocompo keine Competion!
