Bart vor seiner Abfahrt nach Australien
5. Oktober 2008 Aalst, Belgien Ein junger Belgier mit dem Namen Bart Aelbrecht steht auf dem Marktplatz, seine Dax ist voll aufgerüstet und er kennt sein Ziel: Australien! Was? Australien? Gut, er nimmt eine Dax auf Basis einer ST-70, hat einen Wave Motor eingebaut, Reservereifen dabei, was soll da schon passieren?

Anfang Dezember ist er auf jeden Fall schon einmal im Iran, und es sieht so aus das Bart super voran kommt. Seine Website ist spannend zu lesen, wir hoffen hier seine Reise übersetzen zu können und wünschen ihm wirklich alles Gute!

26.11.2008 Die Männer von Motosıklet Anadoulu lösen das Spannungsregler-Problem
Eine kleine Honda Dax wird wohl überall freudig begrüßt. Bart hatte die bisherige Reise immer wieder bekannte Probleme mit Licht und dem Bordnetz. In der Türkei konnte ihm dann geholfen werden und jetzt hat er mittlerweile den 4. Regler!
17.12.2008, Bart ist zur Zeit in Kerman und auf den Weg nach Bam. Da diese Region eben auch berüchtigt für Überfälle und Entführungen ist, will er wohl für die nächste Etappe den Bus nehmen. Generell führt ihn sein Weg auf der Seidenstrasse lang und er erzählt von einigen Übernachten in den Karawansereien auf dem Weg. Diese sind aufgrund der Hitze komplett geschlossen und haben einen Eingang, der gerade gross genug ist, um ein Kamel durchzulassen.
Zur Kühlung von inneren Räumen und als ein Vorläufer einer heutigen Klimaanlagen, sind die oben abgebildeten Türme zu sehen. Diese fangen den Wind ein und leiten ihn ins Innere. Das es aber nicht immer so heiss zugeht, zeigt das aktuell letzte Bild aus Kerman auf seiner Website: Die Dax mit Schnee auf dem Rücken.
Indien ist erreicht. Respekt!
06.01.2009, Indien ist erreicht! Knapp hinter der Grenze Pakistans auf ca. 1.800 m Höhe fährt Bart jetzt weiter über Amritsar in Richtung Dehli. Amritsar ist bekannt als “heilige Stätte” der Sikhs und besitzt mit dem Goldenen Tempel einer der Sehenswürdigkeiten Indiens. Die Dax läuft perfekt, einzige Schwierigkeiten machen Bart die tiefen Furchen auf den Strassen, die die Busse wohl gefahren haben. Ein Problem, was bei 10 Zoll Rädern zwangsläufig auftritt.
7.2.2009 Von Nepal nach Bangkok geht jetzt die Reise nicht auf eigener Achse. Da Bart nicht durch Myanmar reisen kann, wird die Dax verpackt nach Thailand geschickt.
Mit der Dax vor Kuala Lumpur
April 2009 Bart ist wieder zurück in Belgien. Eine 6 monatige Reise von Belgien bis nach Indonesien/Bali ist zu Ende gegangen. Mittlerweile hat er einen Teil seiner Website in Englisch übersetzt, aber auch seine sehr schönen Reisebilder sind ein Besuch wert. Zur englischen Site…
