Spektakuläres Finale bei DMC Meisterschaft

DMC_Saison2009Bei strömendem Regen fand am 10. Oktober 2009 der siebte und letzte Lauf zur diesjährigen MonkeyCross Meisterschaft im oberschwäbischen Schemmerhofen statt. Dank des sandigen Unterbodens blieb die Strecke auch bei diesen widrigen Bedingungen für alle Klassen befahrbar. Selbst für die 50ccm-Klasse gab es ein Durchkommen. Valentin Kaier (Kl. 0) und Marc Jaksch (Kl. 1) entpuppten sich als Regenspezialisten und feierten jeweils den ersten Tagessieg ihrer Karriere.

In der 14 Wertungsläufe umfassenden Saison waren insgesamt 96 Teilnehmer am Start. Mit Martin Zimmermann aus Göppingen (Kl. 2) konnte nur einer seinen Titel erfolgreich verteidigen. In der Kl.0 gewann der 10-jährige Maik Vybiralik aus Uhingen erstmals die Meisterschaft. Er holte sich im 1. Wertungslauf in Schemmerhofen die in Weilheim verlorene DM-Führung zurück und verteidigte sie auch im 2.Wertungslauf in Schemmerhofen. In der Kl. 1 lies Kevin Schumann (Ochsenwang) nichts mehr anbrennen. Letztes Jahr noch Titelträger in der Kl. 0, gelang im auf Anhieb der Titel in der heiß umkämpften Kl. 1. Er steigerte sich von Rennen zu Rennen, übernahm nach der fünften Veranstaltung die Führung und gab sie nicht mehr ab. Karl-Josef Jerg (Boms) reichte ein dritter Platz beim Saisonfinale. Mit konstant guten Platzierungen holte er zwar nur einem Tagessieg, aber landete er ganz oben in der neu geschaffenen Pitbike-open-Klasse. In der Kl. 4 holte sich der Meister von 2007 und Vizemeister von 2008, Martin Ebert, souverän den Titel zurück. Am spannendsten blieb es in der Gespannklasse. Hier entschied sich die Meisterschaft erst im allerletzten Durchgang. Die mit einem einzigen Punkt Vorsprung führenden Titelverteidiger Christoph Bachofer / Markus Haußmann hatten großes Pech und mussten den Wetterverhältnissen in Schemmerhofen Tribut zollen. Aufgrund eines technischen Defekts konnten sie zum finalen Durchgang nicht mehr antreten und so war der Weg zum Meisterschaftstitel für Jürgen Stolz mit Beifahrer Sören Schäfer frei.

Die Organisatoren der Rennserie zeigten sich mit dem Saisonverlauf sehr zufrieden. Die 7 Veranstaltungen umfassende Meisterschaft wurde, wie in den Vorjahren, von den Vereinen RKV Kirchheim/Teck, HMV Hepsisau und MSC Feuchtwangen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Deutschen Monkey Club (DMC) und dem Deutschen Motorsportverband (DMV) ausgerichtet. Beim Rennen am 19. und 20. September in Weilheim/Teck wurde mit 83 Teilnehmer ein neuer Starterrekord aufgestellt. Auch insgesamt sieben Teilnehmerinnen stellten sich dieses Jahr der männlichen Konkurrenz. Am besten schnitt Sina Clauss (Laichingen) mit dem dritten Platz (Kl. 0) ab. Die Jahressiegerehrung findet im feierlichen Rahmen im Januar/Februar 2010 statt. Der genaue Termin wird rechtzeitig bekannt gegeben.
