MonkeyCross startet 2009 mit neuer Klasse

Der Deutsche Monkey Club, DMC, ist das Bindeglied zwischen den Vereinen, die MonkeyCross veranstalten.
Aufgrund der weiter anhaltenen Beliebtheit der Pibikes in Deutschland hatte der DMC bei Veranstaltungen in den vergangenen Jahren jeweils über 100 Starter zu verzeichnen. Ein Erfolg, an den wir auch in 2009 anknüpfen wollen. Jetzt mussten wir auf die aktuelle Marktentwicklung reagieren und neben den bekannten Klassen eine neue eigenständige Klasse für 14 Zoll-Pitbikes einführen. Dadurch dürften wir für Neueinsteiger weiter an Attraktivität gewinnen und spannende Rennen erwarten.
Darüberhinaus ist erwähnenswert, dass die ROMET CRS200, die vom DMV für den Romet-Igol-Axo-Cup angeboten wird, auch beim MonkeyCross in Klasse 4 startberechtigt ist. Somit umfasst die Rennserie des Deutschen Monkey Clubs ab 2009 die folgende 6 Klassen:
- Klasse 0 – Monkey/CRF50 bis 50 ccm, Radgröße 10 Zoll / 6-12Jahre
- Klasse 1 – CRF100 und 14-Zoll-Pitbikes bis 110 ccm / ab 10 Jahre
- Klasse 2 – Monkeys und 12-Zoll-Pitbikes bis 125 ccm-Serie / ab 12 Jahre
- Klasse 3 – 14-Zoll-Pitbikes ohne Hubraumbegrenzung / ab 14 Jahre
- Klasse 4 – XR200 u.ä, MZ125 und 17-Zoll-Pitbikes bis 200 ccm / ab 13 Jahre
- Klasse 5 – Gespanne bis 200 ccm / ab 14/13 Jahre
