Die schnellste Monkey der Welt.

Mit umgerechnet 155,97 km/h hält jetzt Ivo Kastan (CZ) den neuen Geschwindigkeits-Rekord und fährt die schnellste Monkey der Welt. Gestartet in der Kategorie 175 MPS UG hat er zwar sein eigenes Ziel, die 100 Meilen Marke zu knacken, knapp verpasst, aber der Rekord war ihm dann am 3. Renntag in der Salzwüste von Utah sicher.

35 Jahre vor Ivo Kastan hatte es schon einmal eine Monkey bis knapp an diese magische Grenze geschafft. Im Jahre 1974 fuhr der 21-jährige Phil York mit einer Nitro angetriebenen Monkey und einem modifizierten S90 Motor in der M-F 100cc Klasse die Rekord-Geschwindigkeit von 96,618 mph.
