Honda Chaly, von se-5

Wieder ein Zuckerstück aus Japan. Der Titel nennt das Fahrzeug zwar Honda Chaly, die Augen sehen etwas anderes! Tief gelegt, verformt, ein Kunstwerk – wäre schön einmal ein Video zu sehen, ob diese Bikes überhaupt fahren können. Trotzallem – great job, well done!

The hard-to-sit Lowrider Chaly

Ralph macht einfach tolle Sachen. Ein höchst interessantes Blog, das Honda Chaly Jalopy Blog, mit Fundstücken aus den Tiefen des HotRod Internets. Und er baut ziemlich coole Minibikes wieder auf so wie seine Chalys, wobei die Lowrider Chaly sicher die Bekannteste ist.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, die Chaly das erstemal in diesem Jahr live in Vise, Belgien, zu sehen und war schlicht begeistert. Warum? Sie ist nicht einfach nur gelowert, sie trägt nicht einfach nur schwarze Farbe – die Lowrider Chaly steht einfach straight da. Kein Schnick-Schnack, und doch viele kleine Details. Die Nockenwelle als Kickstarter-Pedal. Tiefer gelegt und federlos – die hinteren Federbeine sind komplett entfernt und der Blechrahmen somit zum Starr-Rahmen umgebaut! Tradionell der hochgezogene Auspuff. HotRod mit Hitzband umwickelt und Metal-Pure. Die Dragbar lässt vermuten, das Ralph’s Vorfahren direkte Eisenflechter waren, so schlicht und doch stylish. Take care und… wir sind gespannt, wie es weiter geht!

Wen es interessiert, was ein Jalopy eigentlich ist,… here it is!
